Buat Seorang Teman...

Sungguh, kita takkan pernah tersangka di mana akhirnya perjalanan hidup kita dan pasangan kita. I read this entry by Nani Rostam.

Polygamy- Part 2

Why the hell I'm talking about this again.. *sigh*
I've seen many of this happening around me
I like to share my opinion on this.. this will also remind me that I'm not polygamy-proof.

Suprisingly my two sweet honeyed biras are like living-happy-ever-after after the wedding. Quite few months after the new biras moved to their hometown, my mother-in-law began to accept her new daughter-in-law. They live in a separate house but within the same neighbourhood. Normally they will go out as one big happy family for eating out and shopping or even balik kampung to my MIL's. We called the family as d*d and company. :)

During our gathering at my MIL's house, both are them are like sisters or bestfriends, and during raya, when we visited my brother-in'law's house a.k.a first house, both of them are there and treating us... she also help her with her childrens... hmm.. I wonder how he manages it and how the ladies manage themselves.

But I begin to have my own theory....

1. The #1 and #2 must probably didn't think much about them sharing a hubby.
2. #1 accepts #2 as a new family member and never thought about her as her madu.

Maybe, if we stop thinking about sharing a hubby and the fact that the other person is our madu, psychologically we could live with it. Provided that our hubby is OK and fair, there's nothing much to worry.

Now I'm worried about my hubby.. is he picking up something from what happens. I think I have to keep on reminding myself that anything can happen. Ok, as long as I have my emergency plan, I should be ok..

Bertemu Lagi Ramadhan

Things feel a lot easier...

Amin.

I am one of the silent reader of this blog.
Recently, she turns her blog into garage-sale.
Hubby is a 5S sifu, so, he is the kind of person who will not keep stuffs for sentimental reason. So, every now and then, we'll do some spring cleaning and throw everything that we don't like or don't want to use anymore, including those which are still in good condition but don't-know-when-to-use. So, despite of seeing those things mereput at the storage (and finally going to be thrown out anyway), we would offer them to our maid or some indons living near our house. But some things are really worth selling as second hand - branded & good condition. So, the blog has gave me some inspiration to start my own garage sale.

So now I am so eager to go home and take pictures of those pre-loved but unwanted stuffs and upload here (and my Facebook too) and see if they can attract buyers or not. We'll see.

Small Luxury vs. Big Luxury

Everybody loves to have some luxuries in their life.
I love luxury.. it adds value to my life.
But being a middle class family, luxury seems too expensive.
But lately, a year or two... I have come to think that luxury may not be big stuff. It can be small, simple, a little expensive than usual stuff but still affordable (means I don't have to fork out my money, pay by credit, or pay by installment plan).
A big house and great car is a big luxury. They requires a huge financial commitment. So, if we go for big stuffs like that, we will not have enough to spend for little stuffs that can add more values to our life.
Adding values to our life means that it contribute in improving our physical, mental and emotion. Like...
- going for spa treatment contribute to be looking good physically.
- using smart tag at toll and valet parking at a buzy malls contribute to reducing stress
- eating a well balance diet, organic foods & quality supplementary contribute to healthy body
- celebrating family members important dates - birthdays & anniversaries - contribute to positive emotions
- unplanned weekend gateway when we need to have a break from stressed job or the kids need to have a break from school's and house's rules

Mind you, all of the above require some ample amount of money - without having to berjimat cermat or mengikat perut - to be enjoyed.

So, Since I cannot afford the big stuff, I will definitely enjoy the small stuffs as much as I can. Eventhough it looks funny when a white viva stop at an expensive valet parking. That is my point.

Masuk bakul angkat sendiri

I had a meeting at a special government's office today. The meeting was chaired by an officer who is about my age, has serviced government at the same time I served my dearest company, but yet has been promoted fast enough to break a record.

After the meeting, he invited me and my colleague for a drink. And there he was... started from 0 second until 1 hour later... both of us like nodding our head to whatever he talked about himself, and himself only. About how successful he is, the fast track promotion, how the boss loves him, the things that he did that the boss loves... The reason why we sit there and listened is simply because his boss is a very very important person. So, we have to treat him well too.

No, I don't want to talk about him directly but rather to find out why he or people act that way?
And these are my theories (as usual... my theories..)

1. they think they have worked so hard but feel like nobody knows or notices. So, they have got to tell the world about it.
2. They don't feel appreciated. They are longing for appreciation, not in term of money, but in term of compliment.
3. They are promoting themselves
4. They don't like to talk about others

Some people think it's very annoying to hang out with this type of people, though I do admit we might learn something also. Or maybe it is better than talking about other people. I know another person who is just like this. But not to worry, I am a good listener. And I will always listen from start to end... and I think that it is a lot easier than having to talk about myself. I only talk about myself in an interview.

Nevertheless, I also observed that people who have this kind of personality are more successful than their peers who work as hard as them but don't talk about it. Hmm.. that makes me think twice about masuk bakul angkat sendiri....

E-business : Am I dare enough?

As usual, a 2 months maternity leave always give me new idea and new interest. This time I spent a lot of time over the Internet - blog hopping, visiting online shopping websites - apart from my addiction on FB. Yes, I just developed my addiction on FB.

And my new idea this year is to have e-business.
I have had a restaurant business which failed in just 6 months!! (no kidding, I lost RM50k just like that) And I also have lost thousands in MLM business.
I know, deep in my heart and in my blood stream, I want to do and have a business. That is what my family have been doing...

Back to my e-business idea. At the moment I really want to try this. I have listed down some business idea but not sure if they are some good ideas or not. They are so cliche. Okay, I just follow what others do:

1. sell mummy's and babies stuffs
2. sell cake and cookies
3 make a great informative website and earn from advertisement

hmm.. not a lot but that is what lingering in my mind every night.

Another thing that I want to do is attending Irfan Khairi's workshop, but it is so damn expensive! RM990 okay... for 1-day

And since I'm working, I wish I can find a business partner...

Lelaki Mana Yang Setia

I read this entry here and thought that I want to leave a word or two, but since it will not be a word or two, I better do it in my own space..huhuhuh... (supaya tidak menyemakkan blog orang)
My hubby once told me that 'semua lelaki tentu ada perasaan ingin berkahwin lebih dari satu'. But I also agree with the writer that 'lelaki bukan teringin nak berkahwin lebih dari satu, tetapi teringin nak bercinta dan mempunyai hubungan dengan perempuan lain selain dari yang ada'.

So, I think both are right. The writer is correct. But my hubby is also correct in the sense that most responsible man would end the affair by marrying the other woman. Only irresponsible ones would dare to leave the woman who loves him.

This is my observation towards my hubby - the older he is, combine with his experience, I found that he looks more handsome and more attractive. He wears better clothes and shoes. He has more money to spend in his wallet. Overall, he is a better person than he was during the younger days. But as a woman, due to aging, and being a mother of few children, we have to set a good example, dress more decent (like makcik does), behave more polite (not laughing loudly), in short we become less and less attractive. yes, I'm saying that wearing sexy dress and laugh loudly are attractive to man. I realized about this because I have gone through it. I used to easy-going person where I can get along with people easily, dress trendily, talk, laugh, make jokes... but now I can feel that I am no longer easy-going as before or dress as before because I am a wife and a mother. The status itself changes my way of life and behavior. So, I guess that behavior is sometimes make our husbands feel like we are not fit to go socializing with him, and make us look like we are only fit to be at home with the kids and cook for him.

So, I think man also got confused with what they want. They want a decent wife but at the same time a hip girlfriend. Which in turn make me confused as well.

Platonic vs. Affair

What is platonic relationship?

What a question to ask.

Platonic relationship is just a nicer term for 'having an affair'.
What is having an affair then...
Having an affair is when there is some level of romance involve in a relationship, and normally that relationship is not going anywhere.
So, what do you call when a man's wife and a woman's husband in a relationship?
Platonic? Affair?

1. they enjoy the relationship

2. they have no committment in the relationship because they have 'real' committment with their spouse

What is the different between friend, close friend and affair?

You can hide from people and you can lie to the people around you.
But can't lie yourself. Only you know what does the relationship means to you.

My new Coach

I want! I want! I want!
Yay! I finally got what I want...a new Coach... A friend's friend bought it from US, and I bought it from her at discounted price times 3.5. So, basically I paid RM151 only!! and in the Coach's website it was advertised at USD58 (as per July 2008)..
The wrislet is not that big, just enough to put my money and O2... now that I want to 'bergaya' with my new Coach wrislet, I need a smaller cell phone.. because O2 takes so much space!
Hmm... this 'wanting' and 'needing' will never end.. But I have new resolution (mid-year review?!).. my new resolution is to be happy with the big stuff that I have now - house and car... because I want to spend my money into little luxury like - holidays, clothes, shoes, handbag, make-up, skin care & perfume, furniture and things like that - because I feel that big thing with no little luxury means nothing. I need to enrich my life with little luxury, I guess it make my life a little happier and more meaningful... Nope?

The workshop

if you can't beat 'em,
Join 'em!

I went for a RE policy workshop yesterday. And I had lots of fun! Why? Because I can put my piece of mind it it. The funny part is, our mederator, who is part of the team to draft the policy, doesn't agree to what I said and the group.. I would say they do not understand what the policy is all about. So, since I really want to say it, they ask me to say it myself.. so, I took the mic and gave my piece of mind!
Here is what it is all about...

The FIT will come from a fund. There must be careful planning and intention in where the source of money. As it was proposed, the source could be from electricity bills. Which means that 7 million of consumers in Peninsular Malaysia will be paying 1% - 2% of their electricity bills for this fund. And who will benefitting from the fund? It is not fair to take the money from the majority for the benefit of the minority. It is more unfair if the system is abused by those who wish to make profit out of the program.

Suprising though, my comment was highlighted by a Dato' and he thanked me for he also never thought of that. I don't know if the team will ever consider my opinion but I will never stop putting my thinking and rational in the future. And I think I owe this to Mr. Solar Guy.

The rest of my opinion on the policy can be viewed here.

Wrong number. Again...

This is the advertisement. You see, at the bottom of the ad, there are lists of phone numbers to be called. My office number is happened to be like one of those but the number is slightly switched.
So, since the last few weeks, I have received calls from all over the country wanting to ask for their application status, just because they switch the numbers. I am so sick of the calls that today I feel like I want to pretend to be the "right" officer. Since the status can be checked via web, so, I am going to use the website as my tool. It's easy..
1. Ask them which state they are from
2. Ask for identification number
Then, wallah, the status appeared.
So, I don't know who will be my victim, but I think it will be a fun game for today....hehehhe

Always look at what you have

"If you look at what you do not have in life,
you don't have anything.
If you look at what you already have,
you have everything"

~Ninie Ahmad, The Yoga Instructor~

I guess what she says is right. So, from now on, I am going to remind myself whenever I want to buy something more than what I need, "I already have it and should I need more?"

Happy Earth Day!

My resolution for today...

1. No plastic bag - I must bring my own bag when going to groceries'
2. No polystrene (means no "tapau" but dine-in) --err.. should I bring my own container for tapau?
3. I will try to separate my garbage (I must try!) and educate my bibik to do so...heheheh.. I know I have thinking about this since the last few weeks but I have done nothing...:(
4. I want to plant more edible plants.. chilli, vegetables, herbs..etc, which not only helps to provide my oxygen needs but also my stomach needs.

Commuter & LRT

Since a week ago, I have been travelling to office via Commuter & LRT.
Why? I got my City crashed by a Pajero... what a day.... and the City not yet 2 weeks old.. not yet 1000 km..

But since a week ago, I found commuter & LRT very interesting... especially KL sentral.
Though there were days that I have to walk in rain (because I didn't have an umbrella, well... I have it in my car!), there were days that I have to push myself in big crowd (with all the smells, of course) just to get into the already fulled train. There are also time when I was scolded because trying to selit-selit when all of other people is queing...(well, how do I know when this Malaysians suddenly became so civic? Then, I realize, it only happened at KL Sentral, and may be KLCC too) But one thing that I like to do, is looking at other people... the trend... fashion... their shoes.. their bag.. the way they dress-up.. and trying to guess, what kind of job they are doing... interesting, huh?! And most interesting is to see the same face everyday... hmm...that is cute.

The only thing that I don't like is the time... I have to wake early in the morning just to make sure that I catch the 7 o'clock train, or the next train will get me to office at 8.30 a.m. And I have to go back before 7.00 p.m, to reach home before Maghrib is over...

All in all, I'm considering of putting commuter & LRT as my main transportation to office... because it's interesting... don't you think so?

Thoughts to Ponder

Sometimes I think that I'm using other people... but sometimes I feel like I'm being used.
Or, does it works both ways?

From the Apperantices' show...
"You're smart, you're briliant,
But you are not tough enough to be in this industry..."

From the book of 'Stop worrying and start living'...
Now I realise that what makes me tired is not too much work but I am worried too much.
I guess I have to start learning how to relax and take things easy....

Life is beautiful...

This whole thing about blogging really get me.
I have so many things in my head... from very stupid things to highly intelligent matters.
Life is yet so beautiful and colorful... if you look at it with the right glasses and from the right perspective.

My dad... he did it again. I can't comment further on this. A father is still a father.
My little angel and my hero... I don't know what else I've been missing in their growing years...
I miss the moment when she learnt how to ride. I miss the moment when he learnt how to play with his toys. My job... stressful but yet very exciting.
My extra freelance job... what shall I say? A committment has been given...
My business... Am I bored with it already?
My good friend at work... whose has been my strength at work. Thank you so much. You always put back the smile on my face.
My bestfriends... wondering how are doing lately?
