Today just did some office works... clearance of all the aduans and letters that are piling up on my desk... but still have some that I don't know what to do with them.
Take a rest and bloghopping.. yea!! These are the blogs that I visited today...
TiniHani - this is where it started. Saw this link at my BFF's blog. I like her blog, very inspiring.
Then hop to her friend's blog..
Durra's doodle - I like her tutorials!
and another one..
Nice Craft Sewing Studio - a place to buy Smocking Pleaters!! How I wish to have one, but will I sew one??
and lastly, just to keep in touch...
My CrazyArtZone - I used to visit her not so long ago, lots of good tutorials too.
They are very very inspiring.. make me missing my sewing machine!! But not until I START and FINISH my dissertation, just have to let teh sewing machine stay where it is, except for some repairing jobs.. huhuhu...
This is a motivation, if I want to continue sewing, have to START writing something stupid! Oh, i need a supervisor....

Thesis oh Thesis...
The subjects are done.
I just need another 6 credit hours to complete this master thing.
But the thesis is holding me back.
I just don't have that pressure, high enough, to make me work on it.
I know that is the reason God hold me back in this workplace.
I was supposed to go back to my old workplace in February, then extended to April, now extended to no-date. The reason? no suitable candidate... oh, come on.... I'm not that damn good worker.. I just know how to survive. But still, I don't know if I should go back to my old place because that place is a shit now.. too much shit. I'm afraid I can't bear with it anymore.... but to be at a different place seems like impossible...*sigh* many many *sigh*
What am I talking about now? I am supposed to write about my thesis.
Ok, back to my thesis.
Energy Economics.
Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) market reform for a better tariff???
What the hell is that....

It has been so long...
It has been more than 4 months since my last update!
Which is equivalent to a completion of my final semester... yes! I've completed my 4 semesters, now what left is a thesis which carries another 6 credit hours.
The whole semester was great.. 3 heavy subjects, but interesting. All of them manage to change my perspective about 'organization' and 'corporation'. The final exam was good considering the laziness I had towards the end of the semester.. :)
Enough about my study.
Last month we had a great birthday bash for my eldest... the 7th year old really has grown up to become a lady. I wish she will become a great and fine lady.
Prior to that, a small family celebration for my 1 year old son in January. He's also doing great, somehow I hope he won't grow up so fast, just cannot get enough of him yet. Hehhehe....
I was suppose to end my work in this office last February, but had to extend it for another 2 monthS to give time for HR Group to find a replacement. But somehow that 2 months are already over, and the replacee was rejected by top management and here I am, still in my office in Putrajaya. But maybe it's a good news because teh only place for me is my old post, which is crazier. I don't think I can work at the same place, doing the same job with the same people I like and I hate for a third time in my career life. I don't know, that place is a mess now. I just cannot even think about how I'm going to report duty on the first day... what am I going to say, how should I look - happy, sad, motivated, feeling great or stress??? I would rather stay back than going back, looking at the current situation, but this place is also messing my carrer path.. I don't know what will I be in the future, stuck in here with no promotion?? and be forgotten forever?! It's a difficult decision... *sigh* I don't like to sigh, but when I think about this matter, I sigh hundreds of time already.

A Great Birthday Gift
I was bored from morning till evening, before i finally thought to check student info at Uniten's website. Hubby has asked me to call Uniten since last week to check if the results are out. But I dislike the idea, I would rather wait for the result to arrive at my mailbox. But this evening, when I opened the student info, the results are there. It was a pleasant suprise. As much as I hope and confident that I was doing well last semester, but there's still 1% of doubt that I would get what I hope for.
It's a Dean List. It's all As. :) 3 As + 1A(-) to be exact. Alhamdulillah, syukur pada Allah yang telah mempermudahkan segala urusan.. from attending the classes everyday, completing the assignments, studying for tests & exams... without so much hassle i.e the kids are fine with bibik, not falling sick etc.
The most important thing is my CGPA is higher than hubby's (for now). I can say that this is tripple joy in a row after my daughter made me proud with her achievement at pre-school and my son's fifth birthday. In fact it is more than triple, if vacation to Bukittinggi and my 31st birthday are counted in. What a birthday present!
For all these joy and happiness, we are going to have a small majlis kesyukuran plus akikah for my two kids this coming Hajj Day.

Update Homeschool (3)
It's final exam week... God knows how busy I am with 3 papers a week in alternate days. One paper is over last week. I promise to treat myself with Coach handbag if I got all A's. Well, A- is also an A, right? I'm confident to get 1 A, and I hope to get 1 or 2 more A's and maybe one A-. Today I'm studying Knowledge Management. I tried to lock myself in the study room and not to be bothered with the kids... but the kids just cannot entertain themselves. They still love to hang around where the mummy is... As a solution....
Tadaa... a string of boys, girls and flowers..

Big Sis is coloring her string of trees... and she's wearing a crown made of a string of butterflies..
They love it, and I'm happy for today's art & craft activity...

It's almost over...
Last night was the last class for this semester.. the last project has been submitted yesterday too. Now, my mind is tuning towards final exam. 11 days from today.
28 October - Applied Telecommunication
2 November - Knowledge Management
4 November - Managerial Economics
6 November - Power System Analysis
Then, I can concentrate on my dissertation.
Today I feel a lot relief than the past 3 weeks... feel like watching movie tonight.. hubby also wants to treat me dinner tonight.. to celebrate the end of 4 consecutive nights per week of classes.. and tomorrow, I'll start to lock myself in the study room everynight until the final exam is over. Dear Allah, please give me strength to go through this, to hold on and to never give up... I'm blessed for this opportunity.
Once I received a forward email from a friend:
Saidina Ali terus mengulang-ulang kalimah-kalimah Rasulullah.s. a.w. ini. Katanya "Demi Allah aku tidak pernah meninggalkannya semenjak ia diajarkan kepadaku."
From the day I received this email, I never missed an Isyak without citing these... Alhamdulillah it works. The reason I find behind it is, when we are tired, stressed, and feel like giving up, bertasbih will remind us that all the matters that made us feel what we felt are from Allah. When we bertahmid, we thank Allah for all the goods and worse that happen to us that day, and thank Allah for we still able to breath. And we bertakbir to remind us for all that matters (good or worse), we should ask Allah for help, for He is the al-Mighty. Try it, you'll feel the different and to have a better night sleep.

It's Not Over Yet...
First of all a sincere wisy of Selamat Hari Raya to all friends who read this blog (cececce... as if I have a reader :))
Since the raya week and last week, I have been very busy with the kids, housechores and assignments to the extend that I don't even have time to check my yahoo mail & facebook. seriously. My mind keep on switching from one topic to another in 30 seconds. But to my relief, I've completed the presentation on telecommunication on Monday (the first day coming back from 1 week holiday) even though the presentation was not up to standard - blame it on 2 audiences (heh, alasan!) not because of lack preparation. I couldn't prepare for the presentation because I was terribly busy with Economics's assignment and finalizing my project's report on Knowledge Management... a 40 pages report in 3 days! In which I finished it just-in-time - with no time to re-read it and for other groupmates to even have a look on the printed copy! But who cares, the draft was done by another groupmate and I put a finish touch-up, well, a lot of finishing and alteration. What the he*l is the other three doing? And now, for the presentation on this Saturday.. I have to surrender and to put my faith and trust on my groupmates to do it..
I'm concentrating on two coming tests in this week- Power System Analysis & Managerial Economics - both are heavy subjects. Actually I have another telecommunication assignment due this week, but I think I have to ask for 1 week extension. The two tests already eating up my last weekend and also this week. As last week and this week too, my office is virtually shut down. I'm still at my place, but not doing office job but doing my assignments - where I can afford, office jobs will be put-off until next week.
Plus, my maid is still in Indon for hari raya.. she'll be back this weekend. So, without her for the last two weeks have added the busy-ness of my life... wake up at 6am to prepare the kids and babies for pre-school and nursery and sleep at 12 midnight for the daily chores, of course that is after I came back from class at 9.30pm and after the kids are sleeping. If I'm lucky, I would still have some energy left for my assignments. But I'm LUCKY that my dear hubby helps in making sure that there is breakfast and dinner on the table, and the dishes and laundry are done everyday, and the fish and plants are fed. Thank you darling!
Next week will be better, I hope so.

Missing myself
I miss cooking, and eat my own cookings...
I miss my sewing machine...
I miss reading to my kids...
For the last two weeks, my life only evolves around office and classes. I woke up everyday at 6.45am and rush to send the kids to pre-school, and off to work. I only had lunch at the cafe because I need to pump in the afternoon to reduce the engorgement towarda the evening. Pity Dani, he starts to drink 50% breast milk and 50% soya milk now...
Office is not being any easier, I starts to organize some meetings, and also taking minutes. I'm practically a 'complaint officer' here now...
I only left office at 6.00 pm and rush to class which starts at 6.30pm. Unlike the previous semester, this semester, we have so many people in our class, probably due to cheaper program fee, and jobless grads. And they are mostly full-timers. So, they came on time, making us, part-timers look bad if we came late. The classes only end by 9.00 to 9.30 pm. By then, I left with only enough energy to drive home. But wait, before I can really put my body to rest, I still need to restock the milk for tomorrow and wash my face, and kiss my sweet little angels (they are really sweet when they are sleeping!). But before I could do all that, Dani would know that I'm home already and cry for me.
My long day ends by 11.00 pm. Not so bad... but before I really really go off, it is rather difficult to shut down my brain. There are so many brain activities going on for the whole day and some unfinished works that need to be done tomorrow. The worst part is I sometime dream about the next day activities...
My weight has drastically dropped for 3-4 kg's.. making me close to my previous first pregnancy - 45kg. Maybe it's the Herbalife and less eating (I only had rice once a day during lunch, which I make it mandatory to have rice for lunch. I skip dinner mainly because there is no time and place to have one, and I don't want to eat heavy stuff before night sleep). Or it could be the longer breastfeeding period for Dani as compared to others. But alhamdulillah, I still feel good and healthy, and not starving.
At times like this, I really need a 'hero' inside me, to feel strong and not to give up. To always forgive myself for being absent from my angels...

Back to School
This week my life start to buzz again.
I take 4 subjects which means no dinner at home for 4 consecutive nights from Monday till Thursday. I'll be dizzy with economics, power system analysis, applied telecommunications and knowledge management.
Sounds teribble? I am. And I target to get an A in all subjects. For the last 2 semesters, I have not put any target at all, the only target I have was to pass through the semester.
I don't know how am I going to go through these 4 months. Certainly no balik kampung. It's not the assignments that I'm worried but the time I would take to study the textbook in order for me to grab the knowledge.
I have 7 subjects left, so I plan to take 4 subjects this sem and 3 for next sem. I must graduate by June 2010 and get my scroll in August 2010. I MUST, I MUST, I MUST!

Finally..I am no more in pain.
Finally my 2 months waiting is over.
For the past 2 months I have not been able to live my life to the fullest as I have to reserve for a consequence that I might leave Malaysia for Education@UK.
Somehow it is a relieve though it does not make me any happier.
Since the day I applied for the scholarship, it was done purely base on "I just want to try my luck"
The moment I clicked the submit button, I forgot about it.
Until I got the letter calling for the interview, then I started to think about it seriously.
But everytime I think about it, I was nervous to hell and I couldn't think further.
As much as I wanted to go, that is how much I wanted to stay here.
Since day 1 that I knew I might have a chance to get the scholarship, I never ever pray for my success in the interview. Maybe because I don't know what I want. I don't know what's the best for me. I really really leave to God to decide for me. And He has made a decision and I am happy for His decision. God knows better. But I am glad that I've made up to the interview stage.. out of 600 applications, I was among the 54 shorlisted for the interview, though I'm not in the successful 40.
I couldn't imagine if last night I received a congratulation-letter, I might not come to office today. I need to think and plan really hard for thousands of arrangement to go to UK with my whole family. That is why I never ever start planning for the 'if' I got the scholarship - it's just too much:
1. the english test that I have to take - and the requirement is pretty high. My TOEFL that I took in 1996 was far below the requirement by the Uni.
2. the visa for the whole family - it will cost a lot! I need to show a financial capability of about 500 pound per head per month!
3. the school for my eldest and second's
4. the apartment for us
5. Not to mention the possibility that I may quit my current job because the probablity for me to get unpaid leave is very slim due to current economic situation
6. And how about my hubby? Is he able to get unpaid leave as well? Should he quit as well just to be in UK with me for 1 year?
7. If item 6 is not possible, I may end up going there alone. leaving the whole family behind... that is another thing to decide also.
All in all, I might end-up rejecting the offer.
Well, I could be rejecting with style... at least.
But today, I just smile and laugh to go on with my beautiful life in Malaysia.
For I cannot ask for more...
(errr.. did I sound like memujuk diri sendiri??.. )
No. you bet, I'm not. I have lots of things to do here...
1. I am looking forward to complete my master program (I have completed 2 semester.. another 2 or 3 semester to go)
2. I am looking forward to send my eldest to primary school. She is in her best momentum in learning now, I don't want her interest and achievement 'terbantut' due to culture shock if we transferred her to new school in UK
3. I am looking forward to buy a new MPV
4. I am looking forward to rearrange, renovate and add few more stuffs for my house
5. I am looking forward for a good holiday somewhere in the middle of the year ( my hubby promise me a holiday to replace the Bandung trip that I missed)
Again,
Fight to fulfil all our dreams because we wouldn't know which one will really fulfill our lives.
It is better to regret things that we have done than things we never even tried to do.

25% done..
Finally... the first semester is over. 25% done!
Just finished my last final exam paper yesterday...
I took 3 subjects and I think it's not bad at all...
I still have time for my work, (ok, I lie, I'm not busy at all), I still have weekend with my kids, and time for raya too! Finished all the assignments on time and able to do last minute study successfully.. hehehehe.. I took Organizational Behavioral Management, Operation Management, and Accounting & Finance for Managers. I'm targetting something that is not less than B.
I think in overall, I can conclude that doing master programme is a lot easier than degree... and that also prove my theory about learning... the older you get, the easier you understand a subject matter. It's not true when people say the older you get, the less memory you have. Ok, you might have less memory, but the time you take to understand a subject matter is less. and mind you, once you understand something, you don't really have to memorize everything. the problem is, when you don't understand, you will start memorizing things.
Next semester will be tough for me. I will be at 3rd trimester of my pregnancy, and have to break for a month in Feb. The final might be in Mac. What to do???

Registration Day
So today I am a student again. A master student. For the next 2 years I will be home at 10.30pm for three days in a week. Just thinking about it makes me feel so terrible. I don't know how am I going do it especially when I am in second trimester. But I know deep, deep in my soul, I have the strength to do it. It just doesn't show yet. I will not turn back for if I did, I will regret for the rest of my life. I am bit anxious to start my class tomorrow as I wouldn't know who will be my classmates. But excited. Except the registration was not as smooth as a 10-years old university should be. Though, everything settled by 9.30 am. Then, I was off to the HQ to get my scholarship's form signed by my Head of Department and Senior Vice President. I don't hope that much for the scholarship but hubby insisted on it, so I just gave a try.
At the same time.. I am dreaming about taking a Master in Renewable Energy Technology in UK, because there is no such course offered in Malaysia. So, I am shopping around for a Uni and a scholarship. If I can get myself fly next year, then, I plan to postpone my master in Malaysia until I get back.. But till then, I am just gointg to go thru with my master in engineering management.. whichever, I will not lose anything. And procastination is bad for health!

Wish me luck!
I can't wait to be a student again! I got the offer from Uniten already. I will start my class in July. The registration date is 28 June 2008. I don't know why I am so excited about this. My hubby is finishing his thesis. If everything goes well, his convocation will be in Sept. and mine will be in the next 2 years... hehehhe
I will do Master in Engineering Management. I have been telling people everywhere about this. I am so excited that I already start thinking about my thesis! I know it will be something to do with energy.... That is where my passion lies. Now I understand why my hubby was so excited the first day he enrolled for his Master program... sorry hubby, I didn't realize until I felt it myself...
